Shocking Attack on Livingstone Mayor Sparks Outrage and Calls for Justice
In a disturbing turn of events, Livingstone Mayor Her Worship Ms. Constance Muleabai narrowly escaped with her life after being attacked by a mob of thugs at Maramba Stadium this evening. The mayor had just attended a UPND rally when chaos erupted as she was leaving the venue.
According to eyewitness reports, the mayor’s vehicle was suddenly surrounded by a violent crowd that began hurling threats and attempting to vandalize her car. In the midst of the stampede, a tragic incident occurred—a woman carrying a baby was knocked to the ground, and the child was fatally injured in the confusion and rush.
Mayor Muleabai’s vehicle sustained considerable damage during the incident. Although her security detail managed to mount a strong defense to prevent further harm and possibly save her life, several personal belongings—including a handbag, mobile phones, a laptop bag containing money and house keys—were stolen. Some other items are also believed to have been taken from her car.
The attack was not just physical but deeply traumatic, as the mayor was also reportedly threatened with rape by some of the assailants. Fortunately, she was not seriously injured, but the emotional and psychological toll is undeniable.
